Privacy Policy

Doting is a personal relationship companion: you keep a private vault of memories, places, and milestones, add photos, and get date-idea, gift, and concierge suggestions. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have. We do not sell your personal data, and we run no advertising or third-party analytics trackers.
What we collect
- Account details. When you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, and Google account ID.
- Relationship vault content. What you enter about yourself, your partner, and your relationship: profile and style preferences, notes, memories, places, milestones, and concierge location or notes you choose to save.
- Photos. Memory photos you upload (up to 5 MB each), stored on our servers and linked to your account.
- Product analytics. First-party usage events (page views, feature use, page URL and title, referrer, and your browser's user-agent string), tied to your account so we can fix problems and improve features. This data stays on our servers.
- Sign-in security data. A signed session cookie that keeps you logged in, plus standard security logs.
- Payments. If you purchase a subscription or product, payment card details are collected and processed by Stripe, not by us. We receive a Stripe customer reference and subscription status.
- AI features. When you use the AI coach or concierge, the requests you send (and the vault context needed to answer them) are processed by our AI model provider to generate suggestions.
How we use it
- To create and secure your account and keep you signed in.
- To run the app: store and show your vault, photos, and reminders.
- To generate the suggestions you ask for (date ideas, gifts, messages) using your saved preferences and, when enabled, AI processing.
- To understand aggregate usage and improve Doting.
We do not sell your data, share it with advertisers, or run third-party tracking. The only third parties involved are Google (sign-in), Stripe (payments), our AI model provider (AI features), and the infrastructure we use to host the service.
Data retention and deletion
Your vault content and photos are kept until you delete them or ask us to. You can delete memories, photos, and vault entries inside the app. To delete your account and everything associated with it, email support@doting.app from your account address and we will delete your data within 30 days.
Security
We store data on private servers with access restricted to the operators of Doting. We never ask for or store your Google password; sign-in is handled by Google. No service can guarantee perfect security, but we design Doting so that the smallest practical amount of personal data is collected and retained.
Children
Doting is intended for adults and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
Your rights
You can access, correct, export, or delete your data at any time from the app or by emailing support@doting.app. We will honor deletion requests for users in all jurisdictions, including under the GDPR and CCPA where they apply.
Changes
If we change this policy materially, we will update the effective date above and, where practical, notify you in the app.
